Surveys: 87 respondents on trust in AI banking decisions
Competitive Analysis: Monzo, Chime, Revolut, Klarna, Zopa
Key Finding: 78% of users who received a denial didn't know why and 62% didn't know how to ask
Strategy:
Lead with transparency, not just explanation
Design for "explain → dispute → resolve" flow

Key Learnings & Reflection
Transparency is a UX problem, not just a legal one — designing explanations is design work Plain language beats perfect accuracy — users want clarity, not technical precision Dispute flows build trust — giving users agency matters more than perfect decisions AI needs a human face — trust grows when users feel heard, not processed Accessibility is non-negotiable — financial transparency must work for everyone
