Research Insights & User Journey
Planned research includes interviews with 10–15 SME owners or finance/admin staff, mapping the current invoice-to-payment workflow, reviewing existing accounting and invoicing tools, and testing willingness to pay. Key assumptions to validate include the frequency of reconciliation problems, preferred reminder channels, current payment methods, and acceptable subscription pricing. These activities are proposed and have not yet been completed.

Key Learnings & Reflection
The core design challenge is not merely storing invoices; it is making the relationship between invoices, payments, and outstanding balances trustworthy and easy to understand. Partial payments, duplicate entries, refunds, corrections, and audit history need explicit workflows. The next steps are customer interviews, a clickable prototype, usability testing, pricing validation, and then a narrowly scoped MVP.
